Casual Registered OT (ADULTS)
Description
Spark Rehabilitation is looking for a casual Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Sault Ste. Marie, providing services to adults only.
We currently have a small number of adult clients waiting for OT services, with the opportunity to gradually grow your caseload based on your availability and interests. This is a great opportunity for an OT looking for flexibility while still having access to an existing referral base.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions for adult clients
- Working with clients through WSIB, MVA and private-pay/private insurance funding
- Supporting clients with functional goals related to their daily activities, work, independence and participation
- Completing appropriate clinical documentation, reports and recommendations
- Collaborating with clients, families, employers, insurers and other members of the rehabilitation team as appropriate
- Working within a multidisciplinary environment alongside PT, SLP, Kinesiology, Social Work and other rehabilitation professionals
- Helping to build and grow an adult OT caseload over time
What We're Looking For
- Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
- Experience working with adults is preferred
- Comfortable providing services through WSIB and MVA, or willing to learn the requirements
- Strong communication, organization and clinical documentation skills
- Comfortable working independently while also being part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- A client-centred, functional and strengths-based approach to care
- Someone who is interested in growing their caseload gradually as referrals develop
